Jocelyn Aspa. Journalist and writer. Loves sports – hockey, baseball, football and tennis, mostly – music, coffee, Netflix binging, craft beer, and a bunch of other things.
As of May 2016, I’m a staff writer with Investing News Network and a freelance journalist. I completed the two-year diploma journalism program at Langara College prior to joining INN and interned at The Georgia Straight from March to April, 2016. I also sometimes write with Canucks Hockey Blog.
From 2007 until I went back to school in the fall of 2014, I worked as a legal assistant: first in Kamloops. I moved to Vancouver in April 2010, and continued working as a legal assistant until May 2014, at which time I made the decision to change careers. My passion was to always go into journalism, and I had plans to after high school, but sometimes life has other plans in store. Here I am now.
I live in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood with my cat, Beatrice, and my boyfriend, Mike.
